Joachim Meyer’s A Thorough Description of the Art of Fencing, first published in 1570, is considered to be representative of a complete fencing system and as such widely used by both, Meyer’s contemporary fencers and modern HEMA practitioners.
In this Workshop Roman Vučajnk will dedicate two days to exploring and practicing techniques of Longsword, Dussack, Rappier, Dagger and Polearms. Focusing on common principles within Meyer’s system, the aim is to gain an overview over a system by not relying on one weapon only, but using multiple arms’ advantages and weaknesses.
The Seminar is open to practitioners of every level and highly recommended for users of multiple weapons.
